Description:

Test-system D-01 is used for mass-screening of minks in order to identify animals that have AMDV-specific antibodies in their blood. This ELISA-based kit includes a set of components, with recombinant envelope protein of the AMDV strain ADVG forming the core of the kit. Each kit includes the reagents that are sufficient for analysis of 2000 test samples, 20 positive control, 20 weakly positive control, and 20 negative control samples. The kit design allows easy combination of reagents for convenient serial analysis.

The kit includes:

  • Membranes for spotting blood samples – 10 gridded membranes, 200 squares each
  • Sodium bicarbonate
  • Detergent
  • Urea hydrogen peroxide
  • Blocking solution
  • Reaction solution
  • Developing solution
  • Antigen
  • Antibodies
  • Conjugate
  • Levamisole
  • Control sera (positive - (+) Control, weakly positive - (±) Control, negative – (-) Control)
  • Incubation tray
  • Instruction manual

Time needed for the test:

6 hrs

Test principle:

The method is based on the use of polyclonal antibodies conjugated with an enzymatic label to detect formation of an antigen/antibody complex that is formed by the recombinant AMDV envelope protein and specific antibodies from the sera/blood immobilized on the membrane.

Storage

The kits must be stored in a dark dry place at +2°-+8°C. No freezing of kit components is allowed.

Shelf life:

6 months

Additional equipment, materials and reagents required but not supplied with the kit:

  • Distilled water
  • Tank or reservoir of 2000 ml
  • Blunt-end forceps
  • Glass capillaries
  • Non-sterile cotton
  • Household aluminum foil
  • Filter paper
  • Thermometer 0-100оС
  • Water bath
  • Thermoshaker (10 mm orbit at least) or orbital shaker (10 mm orbit at least) placed into a thermostat
  • Table-toplamp (>75 Watt)
